Nathan Chapman was the Nashville producer who believed in Taylor Swift before anyone else. When Taylor was a teenage songwriter shopping demos around Music Row, Chapman was an intern-turned-engineer at a demo studio. He produced Taylor's early demos and eventually co-produced her first four albums — the self-titled debut, Fearless, Speak Now, and Red. Chapman's production style was rooted in Nashville tradition but always served the song: warm acoustic guitars, tasteful fiddle and banjo, and a polish that made country radio programmers take notice. His work on Fearless helped make it the best-selling album of 2009 and earned him multiple Grammy nominations.

Nashville country-pop polish. Warm acoustic production, tasteful instrumentation, and an instinct for letting the vocal and lyric remain the center of every arrangement.
